Parliamentary Internship

This is a paid internship program. Interns will work in Ottawa with Members of Parliament for 10 months on policy research, communications, legislative affairs and constituency work. They will learn firsthand about Canada’s Parliament and all aspects of the legislative and governmental process.

Youth Ambassador Program (unpaid)

The UCC Youth Ambassador Program is an eight month-long youth leadership program that aims to foster emerging leaders’ skills, policy awareness, and cultural understanding, and empower them to undertake projects and initiatives to address local community needs. This is a part-time, on-line program that can be easily combined with your school or work.

Canada summer jobs

The program offers wage subsidies to private-sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees, not-for-profit organizations, and the public sector. It encourages employers to create quality summer work experiences for youth aged 15 to 30, helping them develop skills, address priorities, and improve access to the labor market, especially for those facing employment barriers.

Federal Student Work Experience Program

The Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) offers students full-time and part-time employment opportunities across various fields in the federal public service. To be eligible, students must be registered full-time in an accredited academic institution, meet the minimum age requirement for their province, and plan to return to full-time studies. The program prioritizes diversity and inclusion, providing specialized support for women, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and visible minorities.

The YMCA Canada Youth Engagement programs provide job opportunities to young people, helping them overcome challenges like unemployment and social isolation. SENATE OF CANADA

The Senate hires students throughout the year to work in various areas of the Senate Administration. Every year Ivan Franko Homes hire Ukrainian-speaking full-time students, age 15 to 30 year old, for temporary summer employment. The number of students, job positions and terms of employment may vary. The ideal person is a team-player able to work independently while observing policies and procedures as well as work standards and safety regulations.

UKRAINIAN MUSEUM OF CANADA

The Ontario Branch of the Ukrainian Museum of Canada was established in 1944 at the Kn. Olha Branch of the Ukrainian Women’s Association of Canada, based at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Toronto. After 35 years at that location, the Museum moved to larger facilities within St. Vladimir Institute, where it is located today. Founded in 1944, The Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Centre – Oseredok – is a museum and archival heritage institution that celebrates the remarkable achievements and legacy of the Ukrainian Canadian community in Canada.

Oseredok offers full and part-time opportunities including roles related to archives, collections, library, exhibitions, programming, fundraising, and administration. The Centre is pleased to also offer positions for students and interns on occasion.
