The Ukrainian Canadian Students’ Union (SUSK) is pleased to report the successful Completion of the 2019 National SUSK Congress Back to Our Roots held in Winnipeg, Manitoba from May 2nd to 5th.  This year’s congress marked the 65th anniversary of SUSK and we continue to be a vibrant and active part of the Ukrainian Canadian community, all the while advocating and fighting for issues relevant to Ukrainian Canadian students. As the coordination body for Ukrainian Canadian Organizations SUSK delegates from post-secondary institutions across Canada attended for this year’s National Congress.  The themes of this years centered around remembering the Holodomor and working to spread awareness about this genocide to ensure that the kind of atrocities perpetrated by the soviet regime never happen again. Our delegates are in a unique position to fight for justice and reconciliation because they are future Ukrainian Canadian leaders.
