SUSK Congress

SUSK Congress is the annual gathering of Ukrainian Canadian students from universities and colleges across Canada. It provides a platform for students to connect, exchange ideas, and discuss topics relevant to the Ukrainian Canadian community. Through workshops, panels, and social events, attendees build networks, develop leadership skills, and collaborate on projects. Join us for a celebration of Ukrainian Canadian identity and unity at SUSK Congress!

Every year, the SUSK Congress features a unique theme and program and takes place in different cities across Canada. By changing the host province annually, we provide an opportunity to meet and explore how the Ukrainian Canadian diaspora thrives in various regions.

Last year’s theme was “Культурна капсула – Culture Capsule.” Agenda highlights:  Vyshyvanka Night, Zabava Party, Alumni Night, Professional Seminars, USO Presentations, Amazing Race around Toronto and much more! The aim was to motivate Ukrainian Canadian students to understand the importance of cultural preservation and the impact this will have on the future of Ukraine.

There are two ways to attend congress

    1. As a delegate: Official SUSK member representative from a USO (check with your USO to confirm how many spots are available)
    2. As an observer: Interested participants outside of a USO. Such as SUSK alumni, community members, or university students.

Not sure which category you are in? Message us at info@susk.ca before you register!

The SUSK Congress typically takes place in May each year. Your USO will be notified about the exact dates and the chosen city several months in advance, giving you ample time to plan your trip.

The primary objective is to foster genuine connections among student clubs. The Congress serves as a hub for gaining new insights about Ukraine, learning about its history and culture, collaborating and brainstorming ideas for the upcoming year, electing the new SUSK board of directors, and simply enjoying the company of like-minded students.
