Unissued Diplomas is a student-led exhibition held in more than 45 universities worldwide, uncovering the stories of 40 Ukrainian students who lost their lives in war. This project wasn’t possible without the support of the Memorial memory platform that gathers and publishes information about Ukrainian civilian and military war casualties.
We created this exhibition to remind the world about the ongoing war and the price Ukrainians pay daily in their fight for freedom. “Unissued Diplomas” honours the memory of Ukrainian students who will never graduate because their lives were taken by the russian invasion.
In 2023, this project was implemented by a team of 50+ young Ukrainian people, based across the globe in cooperation with SUSK and support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland, Australia, and Japan. They united in the goal of commemorating the lost lives of Ukrainian students and reminding the world that the full-scale war still rages on.
