The University of Ottawa Ukrainian Students’ Club will be going kolyaduvaty (caroling) for the second time as a club this Christmas season. The objective of our kolyada will be to raise funds for the students’ club, as well as for Dzherelo (Charitable Organization in Ukra…ine helping children with cerebral palsy and other handicaps).
Last year, over fifteen students participated. We visited 10 houses in the Ottawa area and raised approximately 1000$ for our club and for Dzherelo!
Join us once again this January!
We will be practicing Sunday, January 8th from 7pm-9pm. Everyone is welcome to join us – you don’t have to speak the language, as you will be learning the carols phonetically. You also don’t have to be Ukrainian, everyone is welcome! We encourage all students to participate!
We will be going caroling on Thursday, January 12th from approximately 6pm-10pm.
