My name’s Robert Hnatejko and I’m a Ukrainian-Canadian working as an Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) at Rodan Energy Solutions Inc. I was hired in June 2013 and hold a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Ryerson University. As a member of the engineering team, I provide technical support to the Vice-President and Project Engineers.
I found out about Rodan Energy through a co-worker who is a Ukrainian-Canadian. After completing my undergrad at Ryerson, I had trouble starting my career. However, through word of mouth I was able to land an interview and eventually start my career as an Engineer-in-Training.

I think Rodan Energy is a great place for Ukrainian-Canadians to work because the company is founded by and employs many Ukrainian-Canadians. I appreciate that my colleagues understand my cultural background – Rodan feels like a large extended family. It’s also a great place for students and new grads to start their careers. As an EIT, it’s important for me to work in an industry with revenue growth and opportunities for advancement. Rodan is expanding into new markets across North America, which means that there are new positions and opportunities available all the time.

I highly recommend that you check out our employment opportunities for more information on how to kick-start your career at Rodan Energy.
